AC Gordon
1970s
Large collectsions of original stories in the minute mystery format.
A. C. Gordon delivers a few books in a very straightforward classic minute-mystery format. The stories are a little dated, but each book is densely packed with double page mysteries to solve, followed by the solution just afterwards.
The puzzles are usually told from the authors point of view with "you" being the protagonist. These were updated under the "Solve the Mystery" format in the mid 1990's (also listed).
A book of cunning mysteries for budding detectives to solve.
A.C Gordon's followup to the Solv-A-Crime series, with many more crimes for the amateur detective to solve.
Forty-seven mini mysteries filled with the works of sometimes clever, sometimes clumsy murderers, thieves, and liars. Using deductive powers, young crime solvers can break the cases of the Dead Dancer, the Bruised Blonde, many more. Each case is presented in a brief, two-page profile.
Do you see yourself as a sharp-eyed private investigator, capable of thoroughly examining evidence, checking all the facts, and coming to a sound conclusion? If the answer is “yes,” then this entertaining collection of solve-it-yourself mini-mysteries is just the book for you.
