A beautifully Illustrated crime series following two detectives
Originally published as 'Lenoir et Blanc' this series follows two detectives (Kalle Bohne and Gitta Gurke) through various crime cases. These english versions are collections of the originals, and feature some interesting and smart puzzles, in a similar vein to Hans Jurgen Press's iconic style.
With a unique texture given to each stark black and white illustration, and with characters and perspective wonderfully stylised, this is a fantastic, strong series, and was popular enough to be published in many language. Author Jurg Obrist has also published other puzzle series' following this one, and his unique style has bought an interesting stylisation to what is typically a more still, static genre.
Note that there have been additional chapters published since this English collection, including "Wer löst den Fall" in 2012
