Graeme Base is an Australian Author and Illustrator who had his start in Animation

With an long career in kids book, most famously Animalia and the incredible book 'The Eleventh Hour' (listed in another page), Base hides symbols and puzzles throughout his books. All beautifully illustrated in traditional media, Base's work is often comprised of simple rhyming storylines, following characters through various circumstances while picking up clues along the way.
