Mini Mysteries
1973
A one off (and dense) collection of short mysteries to solve.
Julia Remine Piggin tells the story of Sara Hull a librarian with a penchant for solving mysteries - known as 'Ms Sherlock Holmes'.
There are 59 mysteries to solve here, all well written though not strictly self-contained mysteries that can be deduced solely from the story. Some mysteries require a obscure knowledge like at a night of trivia, ie. technically they're solvable, but not without some general knowledge.
Answers can range from needing to know how to pronounce a Russian word, what a feminist activist would typically believe, and what years historical events occured.Even if dated, these mysteries are enjoyable and the answers can still be estimated based on the way of writing, even if the reader doesn't know the exact facts of the solution.
Sara Hull, a detective also known as Ms. Sherlock Holmes, gives you 59 different mini-mysteries to solve! All the clues are given, and if you go crazy trying to figure out the answers, they're printed at the end of each story ... but don't peek!
