Jim Sukach
1995-2005
Nearly a double-digit series, following Dr Quicksolve and his friends through many mysteries.
Jim Sukach published many books in this series, and had excerpt stories from them published in other collections, alongside other puzzle writers like Stan Smith, Ken Weber.
In this series we follow Dr J.L Quicksolve (a surname destined for crime-solving) and occasional sidekicks, through many mini-mysteries.
Each book contains wonderfully illustrated covers, and fun illustrations throughout and follow your typical kids mystery with answers following after.
With 9 books it's a long series, and has mixed reviews in how accurately one could divine the answers to some of the more arbitrary/vague chapters. Nonetheless it spanned nearly a decade, shifting gears to different titles for the last few - focussing on Elliot Savant (another fitting name) and his Son and their crime-solving adventures.
Several other non-compilation books are credited to Jim Sukach, including one by 'James Sukach' though it's undetermined if that's part of the series, despite featuring Dr Quicksolves son.
