A series of illustrated puzzle books following the success of the TV series 'The Crystal Maze'.
The Crystal Maze was a British kids television show from the 90s, hosted by Richard Obrien - where kids competed through puzzles and challenges to win prizes.
From the success of this show, an array of merchandise was sold, including varied books. This series is clearly influenced by the Usborne Puzzle Adventure series - appearing extremely similar in part, in both the layout, length and illustration style.
Puzzles vary between moderate to easy, and the text is often fairly minimal on the page - both obviously catering to a younger crowd.
With some fun illustrations and decent narrative, this series lasted 4 books, but similar Crystal Maze puzzle books, 'Choose Your Own Adventure' style books and even computer games were also made.
